Professional Yoga Training

with Sri Yogacarya Ajita Maharaja

Yoga is not about relaxation, but about control of life. And it is only because of that control that you can develop completely. We are the first to bring this very old and authentic approach back to life. With great success.

Only a few people know that Yoga consists of eight steps, with meditation and contemplation as top. This is described by the sage Patanjali a very long time ago. The eight steps of Yoga are: moral principles and -ideals, physical postures, energy control, detachment, concentration, meditation and contemplation. In our school you systematically follow these eight steps: you first receive a Basic Training Course, followed by a Teacher Training Course and then a Master Training Course. The goal is to develop yourself and eventually reach Enligthenment. Even if you have no intention to teach, you can join us. Practice has shown us that many started to teach Yoga after the Course. That is why it is called Teacher Training Course.

The Training is just as thousands years ago. There are many references to the classic Sanskrit literature. However you will soon notice that the emphasis lays on the exercises and the lively experience, and not on the rich literature. That is because especially the exercises are important for your development. Your health improves. You work on your self and you feel better and better. Even your dreams come true.

A most precious spiritual treasure

To have an idea of the exceptional quality of his Professional Yoga Training, Ajita offers you to start with, for free, "The keys to immortality". They consist of three books. Download them immediately. When you read them, you will be convinced.

But what will you do with all that time, if you live so long? To enjoy not only a long life, but also a happy life, Ajita is preparing for you his sequel: "The keys to paradise". These will consist of two books, and give you an even better insight in his Training.

Honoured worldwide

In October 2003 The Raja Yoga Institute received the membership of the International Yoga Federation, the European Yoga Alliance and the World Yoga Council for this exceptional Training. The Raja Yoga Institute is also appointed as representative of the International Yoga Federation for Holland.

The International Yoga Federation (www.internationalyogafederation.net) provides standards and support for 450 million people practising Yoga and the vast majority of the Yoga schools in the world.

Ajita (Philippe Barbier) has thereby received the noble title of "Sri" or Sir, and the title of "Yogacarya" or Professor in Yoga from the World Wide President of the International Yoga Federation, at that time, Jagat Guru Swami Maitreyananda Sarasvati (Dr Fernando Estevez-Griego).

Since 23 years that I am travelling around the world I have never met such a true Yogi, able to explain so clearly the holy science of Yoga. I wish him the best and offer him as a gift of love the book "Sermon about Yoga" of my Master, Dr Jayant Kumar Bhadury.

On November 5th 2008, Swami Maitreyananda has given Ajita the title "Maharaja", which means "Great King".

Pioneering on national and international level

To improve the quality of the Yoga education Ajita started his Yogaschool in Amsterdam in 1984. In that time Yoga was synonymous to physical postures and relaxation. He has succeeded to bring the whole Yoga science under the attention of the people. He was the first to introduce the moral principles and ideals, the energy control, the detachment, the concentration, the meditation and the contemplation as fundamental parts of Yoga next to the physical postures. He has formed many hundreds of teachers, working in many countries.

Ajita is co-founder and member of the core-group of the Cooperating Yogateachers of the Netherlands (Samenwerkende Yogadocenten Nederland), which actually groups 120 teachers.

Since October 2004 Ajita is appointed Honorary Secretary of the International Yoga Federation for the European Union. As the President of the European Yoga Council he thereby coordinates the Yoga Teacher Training Courses in 48 european countries.

In South-Korea, Seoul, Ajita has given his whole Professional Yoga Training with succes in English to a group of Ron Katwijk, from the Magic Pond Yogaschool. Thereby Ajita has used a webcam on his computer in Ilpendam (Holland). By doing so he has produced evidence that the modern technology of videochat can be fairly used for Yoga classes. Now the Yoga science can spread all over the world, up to the most remoted places. Ron's e-mail address is: yoga@magicpond.co.kr, website: www.magicpond.co.kr

Since June 2007 Ajita is the first in the world to offer almost all his knowledge free on internet. His books can be downloaded for free. Now everybody can learn Yoga in the world.

In the spring of 2008 Ajita exposed publicly a group of false Yoga teachers working in 15 countries from Romania under the name MISA or NATHA. They were immediately expulsed from the International Yoga Federation.
